1957 Singer 221 Featherweight Hull (Chassis) for Home Decor or Pinterest Project

My husband and I have owned and restored over 1000 vintage Singer sewing machines, including over 200 Featherweights. We don’t take the decision to “part-out” an old Singer lightly, but every one of the parts removed from this machine will keep another Featherweight in service, and that makes us very happy.
The serial number dates its manufacture to January 29, 1957.
Fun fact:
1957 was the last year that Singer manufactured Featherweights in the United States.
It comes just as you see it in these photos, without a carrying case. If you are thinking about rebuilding it into a working sewing machine, please note that the running gear does not turn freely (which is the reason why we didn’t restore it). We hope you turn it into something beautiful to decorate your home.
