I like DeWalt tools well enough and own a bunch, but like every other tool vendor their approach to dust collector connections is psychotic. I'm not at all convinced that any two tools share the same damned fitting.
I bought the DWH161 dust collector and DCW210 pad sander recently. Both tools are new brushless "XR" series tools. I should have read the reviews because everyone else already noticed that DeWalt doesn't seem to offer any adapters or other means to make these two things connect together.
So... I figured I might be able to do something about it.  I'm a dude in my basement with a 3D printer.  DeWalt is a company with teams of super smart engineers, global manufacturing facilities, and a few billion dollars.  I would have hoped they would have solved this problem themselves, but they didn't, so here we are.
About this adapter
This adapter is designed to allow a dust collector with a 1¼" OD hose to connect easily to DeWalt tools featuring the "AirLock" style dust collector fitting.  This includes most modern DeWalt tools with dust ports.
There are two styles of this fitting, one with a set of 4 bosses which will hold the adapter in place while twisting the lock ring allowing for one-handed operation.  I've found most modern DeWalt pad sanders have this new-style port.  Tools without this feature will require two hands to twist-lock the adapter into place but otherwise will work the same.
DeWalt Dust Collectors with 1.25" (32mm) OD Hose
If you have one of the dust collectors/vacuums listed below you should have a hose with a 1.25" (32mm) OD that will fit into this adapter.

Shop vacuums or dust collectors may also work, so long as the outside diameter of the hose is 1.25".
Print your own adapter
If you have a 3D printer available you can print your own adapter!  With the purchase of one adapter I will, upon request, send you the files required to print as many additional adapters as you like. These files are shared under a non-commercial "share alike", meaning you can print as many copies as you like, and modify to suit your needs, but maybe please don't setup a store on eBay here to sell them.
