    ORIGINAL - BELGIUM LABOUR DECORATION GOLD CLASS (30 YEARS SERVICE) MEDAL c1958
    Oval silvered medal on gilt hinged crown suspension. black enamel medallion bearing an gilt beehive on crossed spade and hammer within a red enamel border, circumscribed ‘HABILETE MORALITE’ and ‘BEKWAAMHEID ZEDELIJKHEID’ (Skill and Morality in French and Flemish languages) A border of blue enamel laurel leaves, a silvered escutcheon above bearing the Belgian lion rampant, a belt & buckle below, includes its original ribbon with rosette for the gold class. The decoration was instituted 1847 as the Industrial & Agricultural Decoration. It was redesigned in 1958 when it adopted both its present name and the present form. The 1st gold class is awarded for 30 years service in agriculture or industry.
