Your lovely vintage Singer Embroidery Foot will fit low shank side attaching vintage straight stitch sewing machines such as Singer models 15, 27, 28, 66, 99, 101, 127, 128, 185, 201, 222 and includes the Featherweight 221.

Your Singer Embroidery Attachment is in very good condition.
I do not see signs of corrosion sometimes found on the wire spring.

Archive pictures are used to demonstrate and illustrate the features of this type of vintage Singer darning attachment.
Before you begin enjoying free motion embroidery on your Singer Sewing Machine, note the space provided in the notch on the attaching shank (red arrow below).
This allows you to adjust the placement of the foot on the presser bar to give you the right amount of clearance for your embroidery work to be moved freely under your embroidery foot.
The right amount of pressure as the needle penetrates the material keeps the material from lifting with the needle after the stitch is made.
Once you have just the right clearance and pressure with the presser bar lever down, tighten your thumb screw.
Note: Remember when using an embroidery hoop, place the fabric over the larger hoop and then apply the smaller hoop so the fabric is against the bed of the machine or feed dog cover plate.
