    Description

Please refer to photos, multiple shots of the same item, only one (1) pressbook for sale with this listing.
Available is one (1) copy of a vintage Columbia Pictures pressbook associated with the 1963 William Castle film THE OLD DARK HOUSE starring Tom Poston.
This was Castle's screwball 'remake' of the 1932 film previously directed by James Whale (though most believe this film bears little resemblance to the original).
The more recent release was a co-production between Castle, Hammer Films ( UK ) and
    Columbia Pictures.
This is a six panel pressbook which measures about 15" by 14" when folded.
There are no cuts in this PB although there is some edge wear and fold splits along the creases; see photos #8 and #9 for examples of this wear. The primary left-side fold of the PB has been reinforced with clear tape (now aged) as have the middle splits of the inner folds - see same photos as before, along with photos #4 and #5. There are some random marks on the upper left and right corners of the first page. There is some mild speckling / discoloration in the form of random spots within certain areas the press book - see photos #5 and #7 for examples of this... since all of the depictions are shown in B&W, this wear doesn't really create much interference with the presentation.
Additionally this PB has been folded once over horizontally through the 15" vertical dimension as well as once vertically through the 14" horizontal dimension so as to minimize the item for sake of storage. The former fold is a lot more 'hard' than the latter fold... photo #6 shows that there's some wear / wrinkling that has resulted from the 15" fold (associated with the newspaper ad featured on the first page of the PB) - there's a minor fold split a little less than 1" here. It's really the first page that is worst off and this fold doesn't 'translate' as severely to the other advertisements featured in the rest of the PB.
Still in very decent condition as the photos will attest. This is a fun bit of promotional exploitation ballyhoo from the maestro himself... as the ad states, the film is 'SPOOKY! KOOKY! SCREWY! NAIL CHEWY!' - etc.
